About First Option Physical Therapy
A love of sports and medicine drove me to practice physical therapy.
In 1986, I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Chile in Santiago. In this position I was exposed to orthopaedic and neurological patients, giving me the confidence to be assertive in treating complex cases.
I relocated to the United States in 1990. When I arrived in Florida I began working at St. Joseph's Hospital in Port Charlotte, and later accepted a transfer with St. Joseph's to Brian-College Station, Texas.
In 1992, I returned to Florida after accepting a traveling Physical Therapist role with Health South working in their locations in Tallahassee, Port St. Lucie, Melbourne, Sarasota and Viera. I married in 1993 and decided to plant my roots in beautiful Sarasota.
Over the next several years I worked as a Physical Therapist for Sarasota Memorial Hospital as well as for several home health agencies and for the Neuromuscular Therapy Center in Sarasota. In the course of my career, I have learned the importance of practicing Manual Therapy in conjunction with regular exercises. I continued my education with the University of St. Augustine taking several advanced courses specializing in Manual Therapy.
In 2004, I realized my dream and opened my own Physical Therapy office in Venice, Florida. I consider First Option Physical Therapy to be one of the most best clinics in the area for the following reasons:
- Private Treatment,
- Our friendly and caring approach to our patients,
- My desire to continue to stay on the cutting-edge of clinical care.
After 23 years of experience I am still hands on with every patient that uses our facility. We cater to all of our patients specialized needs and create personalized treatment plans for each individual.
